This next-generation X Series standard zoom covers a full-frame-equivalent range of 24–84mm with a constant F2.8 aperture. It combines zoom flexibility with prime-like image quality, resolving detail for 40.2-megapixel sensors and offering shallow depth of field and strong low-light performance. Approximately 37% lighter than its predecessor, it uses recent optical advances to deliver improved performance in a smaller body, while retaining weather resistance. For video, a de-clickable aperture ring and adjustable manual focus-ring travel enable smooth focus and exposure changes during recording. An 11-blade diaphragm creates rounded bokeh.
