Following closely in the footsteps of the FUJIFILM X-H2, the X-T5 is the second camera in the X series to
Exceeding 40 megapixels. With this sleek, photography-focused body, your creative potential is greater than ever. The classic Fujifilm "film" look is retained, with stunning image quality and an extra level of detail. If you need even more, simply activate Multi-Shot Pixel Shift mode to achieve 160-megapixel images.
The X-Trans CMOS 5 HR back-illuminated sensor, combined with the high-speed "X-Processor 5" image processing engine, offers a wealth of exceptional features. A native ISO of 125 sensitivity is now supported, while shutter speeds can reach up to 1/180,000 sec. Even in the brightest conditions, fast apertures continue to function.
In low-light environments or for fast handheld shooting, the seven levels of IBIS help reduce the number of missed shots. The XF18-55mmF2.8-4 lens adds extra stops of OIS, activated by a switch on the lens barrel. Despite the five-axis stabilization system, the X-T5 remains remarkably compact and lightweight. In fact, it's smaller than its predecessor, weighing just 557 grams. The lens itself is also exceptionally light for its focal length range, weighing in at 310 grams. External touch controls and programmable buttons are present on the camera body, as always, along with the 3.69 million-dot viewfinder and the 1.84 million-dot, three-way tilting LCD screen. The camera is even weather-sealed.
Creativity is enhanced by AI technology. Automatic white balance has become more precise, as has autofocus. A wide range of subjects, including faces, animals, and vehicles, can be detected and tracked seamlessly. In AF-S mode, high-frequency subjects are easier than ever to locate.
We know that post-production work is an essential part of the creative process. That's why a streamlined workflow is always beneficial. The X-T5's advanced features, such as the Skin Smoothing effect, simplify key post-processing steps. You also have a choice of 19 Film Simulation modes, including Nostalgic Neg, for stunning JPEGs—although the HEIF image format is also available, for 10-bit quality in a 30% smaller file.
Although the X-T5 is designed for photography, its video capabilities are nonetheless professional-grade. Videographers can record 4:2:2 10-bit video at 6.2K/30P. The X-T5 features a 4K HQ mode, which uses 6.2K upsampling to produce high-quality video. The X-T5 supports F-Log2 mode, which records with an expanded dynamic range of over 13 stops. The X-T5's RAW video output can be recorded in Apple ProRes RAW format.
