This new lens joins the extensive range of XF interchangeable lenses for the X Series, known for their compact and lightweight design and excellent image quality thanks to Fujifilm's proprietary color reproduction technology.
 The XF16-50mmF2.8-4.8 R LM WR is a standard zoom lens with a focal length ranging from a wide 16mm (24mm equivalent in 35mm format) to a medium telephoto 50mm (76mm equivalent in 35mm format). This lens combines high-resolution performance, compatible with the 40.2-megapixel X-Trans™ CMOS 5 HR sensor, across the entire zoom range with the lightest weight of approximately 240g among XF zoom lenses. Furthermore, it offers ultra-fast and highly accurate autofocus, 0.3x magnification at the telephoto end (0.45x equivalent in 35mm format), and a weather-resistant construction that withstands temperatures as low as -10°C, making it versatile for use in a wide range of scenes. The constant length design, where the lens does not extend during zooming, allows for more comfortable use of the zoom.
 The XF16-50mmF2.8-4.8 R LM WR boasts a versatile focal length range, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications, from wide-angle landscape and architectural photography while traveling to portrait photography using the medium telephoto end. In addition to its high-resolution performance, it also features a close-up capability equivalent to half the macro capabilities of a 35mm lens, making it ideal for photographing food, products, plants, and various scenes of everyday life.
 In addition to the release of the XF16-50mmF2.8-4.8 R LM WR, Fujifilm plans to launch lens kits with the FUJIFILM X-T50, FUJIFILM X-T5 and FUJIFILM X-S20, which feature in-body image stabilization to maximize lens performance.
