The fifth generation of the X Series features the 40.2-megapixel back-illuminated X-Trans™ CMOS 5 HR sensor.
The latest image processing algorithm delivers high resolution while maintaining a high signal-to-noise ratio. The improved pixel structure allows more light to be captured more efficiently. The standard sensitivity is set at ISO 125.
In addition, the electronic shutter can be set to a maximum shutter speed of 1/180000 sec, enabling extremely precise control of exposure time. Shooting at wide apertures is possible across a wide range of scenes.
Equipped with an AI-based subject detection autofocus system developed using deep learning technology.
The camera can detect animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, trains, insects and drones.
In addition, the camera features a more advanced autofocus prediction algorithm than previous models. This allows you to capture a wide range of subjects, including fast-moving cars and animals.
A total of 20 Film Simulation modes are available on the X-T50, including “REALA ACE”, which combines faithful color reproduction with crisp color gradations. You can apply a wide variety of color expressions depending on your subject or scene. Thanks to the digital teleconverter function, images can be enlarged by 1.4x and 2x.


Enhanced features
The camera is also equipped with a 5-axis in-body image stabilization system offering up to 7.0 stops.
While preserving the handling of previous models, this feature allows comfortable handheld shooting, even in low-light scenes such as night photography, greatly expanding shooting possibilities.
6.2K/30P video recording is supported. AF tracking during video recording is also available for high-quality video capture. The camera can operate in AUTO mode, which detects the scene and automatically selects the optimal shooting settings simply by activating the AUTO mode switch located on the top plate.
The camera automatically detects and tracks the subject while maintaining focus, making it easy to capture high-quality photos and videos.


Sophisticated product design with ultimate functional beauty
The rounded body design is new. The redesigned grip fits comfortably in the hand while maintaining a compact size, resulting in excellent handling.
The brand-new “Film Simulation Dial” is located on the top plate. It allows users to intuitively switch between different Film Simulation modes depending on the subject or scene, making it easy to choose different color tones for stills and video. A built-in pop-up flash integrated into the viewfinder is mounted on the top plate.
It automatically controls the amount of light and proves useful in dark scenes and backlit portraits. The new model features a 1.84-million-dot tilting LCD screen on the rear of the camera.
In addition, the grip shape and rear button layout have been refined to provide more comfortable shooting for both still images and video.

Weighing just 135g, the XC15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS PZ is the lightest lens in the X Series. Thanks to its power zoom system, the lens extends automatically when the camera is turned on and retracts when it is turned off.
UNIVERSAL 23–69MM ZOOM IN FULL-FRAME EQUIVALENT
Its 15–45mm focal range is equivalent to the popular 23–69mm in full-frame format. This range makes it possible to photograph a wide variety of subjects such as wide landscapes, group shots, street photography and even portraits. Stunning macro images are also possible thanks to its short minimum focusing distance.


SMOOTH AND QUIET
The XC15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS PZ offers two different zoom speeds, selectable by rotating the zoom ring. This is ideal for videographers, as the lens zooms smoothly throughout the range. It is also equipped with a stepping motor for fast and quiet autofocus.


OPTICAL IMAGE STABILIZATION FOR GREATER FREEDOM
The 3-stop optical image stabilizer (according to CIPA standards) reduces camera shake and helps achieve sharp images. It is also very useful in low-light photography when a slow shutter speed is required for accurate exposure.
